The I/EDPM diploma offered by i2P2M in association with The George Washington University School of Business, Washington D.C., USA is a part time executive diploma. There are two options: -- the National version (EDPM) which has 4 Modules held from June to September where participants are awarded the Executive Diploma in Project Management
- The International Executive Diploma in Project Management (IEDPM) has an additional Module which is a one week long study tour to USA in the 5th month.
- The 1st 4 Modules are common and are held for 3 days every month in India at 3 locations - New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru while the 5th Module is a week long study tour in USA only for the IEDPM participants.
Step 1:- Knowledge Acquisition
A pretest is held at the beginning of the 1st and 3rd modules to assess the current depth of knowledge of each participant by administering a brief pretest known as Project Management Knowledge Quotient (PMKQ) in Module 1 and Risk Management Knowledge Quotient (RMKQ) in Module 3.
Ensuring the best faculty, having wide industry and training experience, conducts the training sessions to provide comprehensive inputs covering the entire gamut of project/program management.
Holding certification exams - CIPM at end of Module 1 and and CrtPRM at end of Module 3. On average, it has been found that improvement is 2.7 to 2.9 times from the initial pretest.
Step 2:- Competency Development (Application at work place)
After every module, it is mandatory for each participant to write a report outlining their learning in the module and some areas in their workplace where they can apply their new learnings.
Each participant is required to write 4 Reports for EDPM and one additional report for the USA component for IEDPM.
Every participant must also submit a Composite Final Report (CFR) recommending a few steps that can be initiated in their department for better delivery of projects/ programs. To ensure full benefit in competency development at the work place, the report should be accepted by the top management of their company.
Step 3:- Leadership Demonstration
Implement the changes of the accepted recommendations within a given time frame by aligning stakeholders including team members and higher management.
Over the last 8 years, we have found significant advantages had accrued to companies that implemented recommendations given by the participants of the I/EDPM program.
